2-week course with Misha Sakharoff
We spend our lives walking — but most of us have forgotten how.
Modern shoes, rigid pavements, and stress have switched off our natural sensory intelligence. Our posture collapses forward, our breathing becomes shallow, and our nervous system stays trapped in chronic alertness.
This 2-week course helps you rediscover walking as a systemic healing practice. It’s not exercise - it’s a return to your original movement pattern: silent, soft, structured. You’ll learn how every step can become a breathing exercise, a posture correction, a nervous-system reset, and a gateway to metabolic calm.
Forefoot Walking, also called Fox Walking, is rooted in ancient hunting movement and refined through modern physiology. Landing gently on the forefoot . before lightly touching the heel — creates a chain reaction:
- Smooth shock absorption → protects joints and spine.
- Relaxed diaphragm and abdomen → raises CO₂, improving oxygen delivery and reducing inflammation.
- Correct head alignment and “gazing into the mountains” → releases neck and jaw tension, quiets the mind.
- Barefoot or minimal footwear → reactivates proprioception, balance, and lymph flow.
When practiced correctly, this movement becomes a form of dynamic meditation.
The body finds its structural integrity; breathing slows naturally; and the nervous system shifts from fight-or-flight to rest-and-regenerate.
Over 14 days, you’ll explore the synergy between structure, breathing, and sensing through:
- Step-by-step technique training - how to land softly on the forefoot and transfer weight efficiently.
- Head, gaze, and jaw alignment - “gazing into the mountains” for automatic relaxation.
- The sensing mode - replacing thoughts and emotions with direct perception. Integration with breathing — maintaining gentle nasal breathing and low minute ventilation.
- Hara focus - stabilizing attention three centimeters below the navel for effortless balance.
- Energy economy and radical acceptance - learning to move without resistance or wasted effort.
- Practical barefoot adaptation - safe progression on natural surfaces.
- Connection with the SHIP App - to track pulse, breathing, and relaxation response.
Lifetime access to the SHIP App in full version with guided lessons and videos explaining structure, breathing, and movement, combined with breathing meditations for morning, evening, and active day sessions.
Integrated measurement tools to observe your calm-response curve — pulse, breathing rate, oxygenation.
All 20 health measurements fully unlocked.

Personal reflection tools for posture, gaze, and sensory awareness.and quiz modules to anchor your new awareness into daily life.
Forefoot Walking sits at the intersection of the Energy Distribution Plane of NPMA (Non-Pharmacological Metabolic Approach as described in my Elsevier article Sakharoff, M. (2019)) — where movement, breathing, and immune balance meet. By restoring your natural gait, you rebuild proprioception, lymphatic rhythm, and metabolic stability. In just two weeks you’ll feel the difference — grounded feet, relaxed shoulders, calm breath, and a quiet smile that arises on its own. From that point on, every step becomes both a diagnostic and a meditation — the way back to effortless presence in motion.
